Harrys struggles feel so real in this, it’s so well written and the descriptions of his fears and emerging drug dependence were thought provoking in a fantastic way fic usually is not

Author's Response: thanks for the review, yeah I wanted him to be a little more defiant than he usually is when he is suddenly placed with an adult he has no trust in ;)
I'm surprised that Harry was foolish enough to take something given to him by a kid he didn't really know. Especially in Knockturn Alley. Snape is going to have his work cut out for him.
Author's Response: I've had this question about harry being stupid before. in the last chapter there is a half way explanation for this. But really, Harry mistrusts adults, kids not so much. and he is a 12/13year old without any adult guidance - curiosity plays a big part in this as well! don't forget, he's been through a lot and is still experiencing the after effects, so once he took it, there was almost no way back
