Very good. Agree about CP; I'm terribly bored with stories featuring it; they are all alike and don't consider the consequences.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review!

Glad to see you back. Enjoyed he chapter. You can feel the frustration Snape has with dealing with a young Harry. Loved how Harry threw his little tantrum.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review! Yes, Snape gets rather frustrated, but I think that he is doing a remarkable job reigning it in! :) I think this vacation is good for him! That and the fact that he no longer has to spy on Voldemort.

Thank you very much for your statement on cp. I fully agree with it. Nowadays authors seem to write cp stories for the sake of cp only and because it's kind of hip or something. It's a bit disconcerting how uncritical and careless it is used in these stories. I'm glad it's banned in my country. I've got the notion that it is still much more common in the english speaking world though.

About your story: It's quite entertaining and I appreciate that you continue with it.

Author's Response: Thank you for your comments and for your support!

very much liking your story, glad you kept on with it. very much disagree with you about corporal punishment. i respectfully submit that not agreeing does not imply lack of understanding of the ramifications of the act. i don't have a problem with you not writing it though - it's your story and you should write whatever is in you to write. and you obviously have a great story to write. can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review, mwc. It's fine to not agree. Not agreeing does not mean that a person doesn't understand the consequence, I just worry about any younger readers who end up reading a lot of corporal punishment stories and start to believe that it's always okay, even when it crosses the line of abuse. I think that some readers will read a cp story, and then create their own without understanding everything, thus teaching others that it is okay even when it is abuse (because it's the younger readers that seem to take it even farther than what they read). I wanted to make sure that they got the other side of the story so that could make up their own minds. Of course, this is all fiction but it's possible to learn mistakeningly from anyone and anything. Studies on the psychology of spanking is a rather new development within the last decade or so. Many people grew up with it, and they don't end up traumatized. It can be seen as a legitimate way to discipline someone in society. However, people should always be on the look out to make sure that the things they do are really okay, and be open minded enough to investigate and be willing to change their minds if that is not the case. Whatever they choose, they will be responsible for it.

Yeah!!! You're still alive! And an update too. I really like this story, and am quite curious to see how it will play out. Also how long it will take for Harry to do Occlumency.

I also agree with your author's note about spanking. It seems there's a lot of people writing fanfiction who believe spanking is ok, while I have learned that's it's not (for the reasons you mentioned). Great to see someone agreeing.

    Author's Response:

Yes, I'm still alive! :) Hooray! I don't think that Harry will fully master Occlumency in this story, but he will be on his way!

I'm glad that you agree about the spanking issue. I think for a lot of people it ends up being a battle between science and tradition. I worry about any younger readers who end up reading a lot of corporal punishment stories and start to believe that it's always okay, even when it crosses the line of abuse. I wanted to make sure that readers got the other side of the story since it didn't seem like anyone else was taking a stand about it. Whatever individuals choose, they will be responsible for it.

Thanks for your review and show of support!
