Oh honey, Severus Snape could never feel outwitted by some cop. Also, beautiful, awful, and useful all have one 'L,' not two. Parenthetical insertions (like this one) look very unprofessional, especially when you address the reader directly in the author's voice, and adoptions are generally covered by some kind of Social Services. A good reference for this would be wikipedia.com, or any adult.
PLEASE get an editor. Your story has potential, but it cannot be realized until you get a second set of eyes on your story.

Well, your story shows promise- it really does. But your grammar needs some serious work. I understand that proper grammar does not come naturally for most people, but finding a basic grammar editor is necessary if you want to be taken seriously as a writer. Hemingway once said that his editor was the one who really made him great, and if he was willing to ask for help, so should you be.

this is an awesome story, but it stops here, so i give you a 7 for not updating quick enough!!!!!!
brilliant story, glad the dursleys got caught and sent to prison, glad harry is safe now but i don't like it when dumbledore plans as they can be disasterous
