This was amazing. I absolutely adored the ending. So fabulous.
The only thing I'd say against it is that I really don't think Harry would have thought he deserved to be loved. I think it was out of character for him to say that. However, I believe your Snape was completely in character, and that's not an easy thing to do.
I thoroughly loved this. Great job!

That was very good! It's refreshing to read a 'Snape-discovers-Harry-is-abused-during-occlumency-lessions' fic that is a bit different. So it was nice to see Snape respond in a caring but definately Snape way when he found out what Harry's home life was like, rather than suddenly breaking down, hugging Harry and calling up the adoption papers.
A good story!

I love the ending of this . . . it just strikes this chord. Snape is brilliantly in character, and the way he helps Harry . . . wonderful.

I've read this one shot many times and man, it's still just as powerful.
You really crescendo the story and that drop us like a rock with Snape's definitive phase, "As long as you know that".

“What are you playing at?” Snape demanded. “How did you implant those false memories? Who helped you? Was it Miss Granger? Answer me, Potter!"
OMG. Snape in this entire story was totally in-character. I've read so many where it's like, Mkay Snapey is looking into Harry's mind and is like OMG BIATCH WHO DID THIS TO YOU I KEEL THEM!!!! but it's really nice to see something where Snape stays in character and uses that to make sure that Harry understands that he's worth more than that. Yeah. As much as I love reading about Snapey getting all miffed on Harry's behalf (in due course, of course XD) Snarky Snape is awesome too. And your Snapey is definately awesome XD

Wow. That's really all I can say. I wasn't expecting the story to go the way it did and then the end where after he berates Harry and then gets the answer he wants...wow.
