Great chapter, it was really good to see Harry get all that off of his chest, and Severus apologize, never saw that coming. Looking forward to the fit the ministry is going to throw. Keep up the great work, and please update again soon. LES

ooh... the ending made me cackle, which, given that i'm currently supposed to be writing a rather extensive treatment of the collusion of certain elements in germanic literature, caused my colleagues to look at me rather strangely. hah!

it really is remarkable, though, how thoroughly harry has been failed by the adults in his life, and you bring that out wonderfully. i can't wait to see how harry reacts to this, though...

Now that's a Cliffie worthy of a top TV Network at the end of a season! Another great chapter but this one ends with a fantastic statement. He didn't even ask Harry! Just stated what he was going to do. I love how he said that!

Oooh! Next chapter . . . see Harry's head explode! :) And Remus's head too, maybe.

I'm assuming there'll have to be a conversation with Dumbledore about this, ah, rather drastic step, but I'm interested to see if Snape decides to confront McGonagall as well. No doubt about it, that was a particularly egregious abdication of her responsibility as Head of House (as an educator at all, really, or, I dunno, a reasonable human being).

Author's Response: Explosions galore!  Bits of Transfigurations Professors mixing in with werewolf bits and . . . it just ain't gonna be pretty.  ;-)

Ah, and now you open up the tantalizing thought of how you are going to handle the "Draco question" in this.

Did someone do this for Snape, or did he have to figure all this out for himself. It was nice to have the slightly humourous exchanges at the end to lighten the pathos of the beginning. And it also shows that Harry really is becoming comfortable with Snape.

Harry can at least talk around the Topsham memories a little more closely than he could before -- just a little. I hadn't thought of Draco knowing and if Draco, then other students as well. A tiny step forward and two back. I can't imagine Harry being ready to be around students in just a few short weeks. He can barely stand Snape's touch and then only with warning. I know you mentioned this and that Harry might *not* be ready. I'm looking forward to finding out how he gets along and what happens when students return.

Another good chapter. I love these Snape/Harry moments when Snape has so much insight into what Harry is going through. And if he doesn't understand, he tries to. I love the blacklist they made, too. That they cooperate with it is also terrific.
