Love the ideas and their conversation thank you
It was pretty good... but there was a lot of comma misuse, especially in the first few paragraphs.
I think Lily would fit in well in Slytherin. She might even help the Rose x Scorpius ship along! ;D
Kinda short but I liked it. It is to bad that Harry and Snape didn't get along better in the books. I would like to see more about one of Harry's children in Syltherin! If Snape was alive when that happenend he would of had a heart attack! Scorpia

I think this story was a nice counter to the usual "Snape Speaks From a Portrait" that is currently running around. Harry's take that he is now the same age as Severus was startling. If you consider that Snape spent his adulthood among the filth trying to stay alive and return with information to win a war, and that Harry has spent his adulthood tracking filth and returning to a family, then you really can't compare their lives as being equal. That said, the fact that Harry has had a better life and will continue to grow and change as he ages, which Snape never will, then you can see how Harry could feel sorry for the snarky git. I agree with you, that Snape could have had his final revenge by befriending the boy--but not considering the side of the war he was spying on. The unltimate tradegy of Snape's life is that he started fighting to survive as a child in his family, then as a student in school, then as a death eater, then as a spy.. .. .. until his death. So the hero does not get a happy ending. I was afraid that JK would do to Harry what she did to Snape. To think that he could actually enjoy his after-life is a comforting idea.
Oh, that was nice! I can imagine that it would have been very awkward for Harry to have to talk with Severus' portrait. Very believable, I really enjoyed it!

Loved it. Well done. I agree with your reasons for making Sprout headmistress. Why shouldn't Lily be in Slytherin? She would likely want to be different from her brothers. No doubt some of the prejudices against the house would have been taboo in the Potter household, given one of the kids was named after Snape. Thanks for writing this lovely little one-shot. Mamaduck
