Oh, how could you end it there!!! I did not like this chapter much because at first I thought Snape was cruel, but he is not he is trying to take care of Harry. He is treating him like a naughty child. I'd like to see a nicer comforting Snape, like a nightmare scene. Does Harry really hate Snape or is he just angry? Most young children will use those words when they are disappointed in their parent/caregiver. But then they ususally feel guilty and apologize later. Will that happen with Harry? He is better off with Snape than at the Dursley's. I wonder what Dumbledore wanted. Maybe Snape should carry him up and tuck him in for a nap.

Yikes! That chapter was thoroughly chilling and I loved every minute of it. You put my mean Snape to shame, my dear! LOL I can't wait to see what Snape plans to do and I thought it was very interesting that Snape hasn't punished him for kicking and biting and whatever else he did to him. Hmmm...I don't quite know what to think about that actually. Any hints? Loved the chapter. Perfect. Oh, and do we get to find out what conversation went on between Dumbles and Snape. Oh, and love Vampyr comforting Harry. I always knew that dog was just an old softy. Well done, as always.

I love the idea of the 'games'. Snape is acting REALLY weird of course, and is wonderfully evil! I'm really looking forward to how this will turn out. It's very exciting! I also love Vampyr. Please can you make sure there is lots of him in it!

Oh, I hope he tells Harry about Lily soon! What a bonding moment that would be :)

Great job with this chapter. I love how you interject little inner thoughts and your use of imagery. The metallic blood dancing on his tongue was definitely my favorite sentence :)

I think this story has grown on me. I wasn't to sure about it at first because Snape was acting so insane, but I think it's almost a reasonable insanity... I mean he seems to have been trying to find some way of relating to the boy. At first he was fairly harsh, but it's cooled down enough that I'm not wanting to kill the man for becomeing abusive. And it's been a gradual and subtle enough change to be realistic for the character you've created. I think this 'pretending to be family' thing will be getting better and better, even if Snape never turns into a warm, fuzzy kind of person :-)

I look forward to your next chapter!

One of the things I love so much about this story is that I'm kept in suspense with Harry. I have no idea what's going on in Snape's head, but I'm glad I don't. It makes it more fun that way.

I thought that the punishment scene was done perfectly. You brought up a good point about the purpose of a spanking--it's not to injure or release frustration...but to make the kid realize that they've done something stupid. I like how Harry contrasted his first spanking to the one he just received from his 'father'. Completely different. It makes me wonder, though, if Snape is even coherent at this point. Again, I love having to infer and predict.

Harry is such a boy in this story...and he *actually* seems like an eleven year old. He still plays with toys when he's by himself and he's continuing to play along with Snape's 'game'. I don't like stories that make Harry too powerful or brave at that age. He's young and previously neglected, and it's more likely that he would cling to whatever sort of guidance/comfort/etc. he's given by an adult. Plus, he's pretty much adorable, so I love him for that too. ;)

This story is amazing...it sucks me in every time.
