    Don't you mean August 1995, not 1996? It is supposed to take place around the beginning of Order of the Phoenix, which spans the 1995-1996 school year.

    I'm glad that you've updated. So when did Harry find out that Snape was his father? I'm a little confused. I guess my memory is failing me I thought it was only later, but I didn't realise that he knew since Harry was still at school.

    Thanks for the review.  Harry learned for the first time that the Snape was his dad when Petuna gave him the letter after the Dementor attack.  Sirius confirmed the news about a week later.

    Thanks for updating so quickly! I like your rewrite of the Occlumency lessons - completely consistent with canon, and yet, Snape is almost imperceptibly gentler and more reasonable, and that makes all the difference. Nicely done.

    The last two chapters appear to be different from the start of this fic, they are merely recaps of the canon story without the emotional background of either Harry or Severus, or without Severus own thought as to what was going on from his pov during that time frame.

    I like that you are telling this from Harry's perspective. Would like to see some Snape/Harry interaction soon though!
