    very good chapter. i wound up reading it twice! i like the way you're not quite sure why he is sucking the ice in the beginning, and then it is revealed as the chapter builds in intensity. from the ending, it looks like the next one may be just as intense.

    I really liked the way Snape opened up to Harry, and told him the truth, it'll be interesting to see how their relationship develops.

    I loved this chapter. Everything seems to be coming together, and I feel as though I'm tangled in an odd sort of limbo between Harry's and Snape's musing. It's fascinating. I love how Snape made him suck on icecubes without explaining the reason; it's very much like him to give an order and expect obedience without question. Of course, Harry wouldn't understand this, and you did a nice job of focusing on his confusion. The imagery just keeps getting better in this story, and I could really picture Harry sitting there with hair in his eyes, watching Snape and sucking on ice.

    It's interesting how Snape doesn't even admit his concern for Harry to himself. He's still annoyed but shows instinctual kindness to him. Loved that.

    I'm really enjoying this story and can't wait to see where you take it. Keep up the good work!

    OMG I LOVE IT! It was a great chapter and I especially like Harry's questioning of the mark. It symbolizes that Harry is still, deep down, a little boy, with a questioning mind so this self harm business can be 'cured'. I also like the honesty between them from this early on. Keep updating!
