That ending line was hilarious!!
Snape has just gone up in Ron’s estimation of him. I like how achieved that.
I loved that detention, and the assignment of an essay that speaks to Ron’s strengths.
I love the compassion and understanding that Snape showed, even more brilliant that the conversation unfolded while Ron felt vulnerable and thus was likely more receptive to listening.
Great banter between the two, though I do wish that Snape would restrain his tendencies to whack Harry, especially given Harry’s history.
I wish Snape had listened to Harry, instead of being quick to anger. But it’s understandable, as we was triggered by his remembrance of James. I’m glad they mended the rift.
Oh Ron, it’s time for him to ‘fess up to his friends, before this eats him alive.
Ah Ron, a strategic mind wending his way down the wrong rabbit hole.

Snape at his best! He handled Weasley so adeptly. It was fun to read.
