I thought that your Severus was very true to character and that Harry's reaction to him was natural. I thought it especially sweet that Harry had cleaned his alcove so thoroughly. Great chapter

Very sad, vivid portrayal of abuse. The concept that Harry can only speak Parseltongue is an interesting one, as is his ability with science/mathematics as opposed to English
Very sweet and very tragic; I liked the way in which you built up the tension by using dramatic irony.
So far my favorite part is what Severus means in Parseltongue, but I am finding this a wonderful story beyond that. I hope that Harry will be able to worm his way into Severus' heart at some point. I wonder if the portrait of Slytherin could help teach Harry to speak English?

Of all things Severus could mean in Parseltounge, I guess bat would be expected... Anyways, keep up the good work!
And when is an update expected?
