Ohhh - you've done it again. And now I can't decide between pressing you to update quickly as I really, really want to know what happens next or hoping you take your time so the story will last longer.

Author's Response: The story will last for quite awhile, I think about over forty chapters at least if not more.  The destruction of the dagger doesn't mark the end of the quest yet. I have a lot more things that will happen and not just to Harry and Severus, but Dumbledore, Sirius, Remus, and some of the students as well.  And don't forget about Lucius and Bella darling.

Excellent and exciting chapter! I am worried about what's going to happen to Harry, though. I anxiously await the next chapter...

    Dancingkatz

Author's Response: Thanks, and you should be worried, that dagger is bad news.  it's had centuries of practice in corrupting souls and it lives to twist young malleable ones like Harry.  I should have the next one up later on tonight, so look for it then.

Oh man! I was hoping the dagger will be done with in this chapter! I like this horcrux the least, because it is so smart in addition to being evil (I mean, I like your writing. Just means you have done a fantastic job portraying the dagger!).

Hope Harry survives this evil soon!

Author's Response: I understand what you mean and sadly, the dagger will be there for awhile, since it's one of the toughest Horcruxes to destroy (if not the toughest). I wanted to make this a tough fight, since up until now they have managed to destroy them all without a problem, except for defeating the guardians and traps. Keep hoping and keep a watch for I should have the next chapter up tonight or early tomorrow!

This just gets better and better!!! Does the cut Harry got from the dagger have anything to do with his "odd" feeling???? I wonder.....

Author's Response: Yes, you're on the right track there.  Keep thinking like that. And thanks for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it!

wow the fight was great with the inferi, i thought sev was going to get injured, poor harry being cut from the dagger and being put under its spell. well they are safe for a while, well until the werewolves catch up to them

Author's Response: Sev might get injured yet, so don't stop worrying.  yes, those werewolves are a danger to them and so is that dagger.  I should have the next chapter posted soon!

Dang it Harry, really! You spilled the potion AND got nicked by the blame. How bad is your luck?? I hope Harry doesn't try to kill Severus. That would make me upset. :-(

Author's Response: Very bad, which is running true to form in this quest.  Well, except for a few times.  You'll see what happens when I post the next chapter.  Sorry for all the cliffies, but they add to the tension, which is what I want here.

MORE angsty? Wow, I can't imagine it being more than this one.

Ooh, I'm really worried for Harry. That scratch did something to him, didn't it?

Great chapter, I'm dying to know what happens next with the dagger. I hope that they make it to Hogwarts ahead of Greyback and the others. Scary, very scary.

Oh, and you left us on a cliffie again, haven't you young lady! :)

    Author's Response:

Oh, you have NO idea what I have planned, Pandora.

Something very . . .unexpected and terrible.

    I give you fair warning.

Yes, it did and it's not going to be pretty.

Greyback and company are horrible, but so is the dagger. I'm not sure which of them is worse.

Yes, I have and I'm so evil.

::oh, it's mine. My own. My precious::

You are a nasty, mean authoress, do you know that?

    ::shudders::

Reading the beginning of the chapter was difficult but I did it. I hate dead things; I can handle werewolves and vampires but NOT zombies. The way you described them... I was ready to grab a gun, let me tell you.

Now, I'm going to guess that the Blade has a strange hold on Harry as the One Ring did with Frodo due to the cut in the ::cough:: battle?

    Angst, I love angst.

But first you have to update Return to Prince Manor. I want to see Philip terrorize the old codger.

    Update soon, my dear.

    ::smiles and winks::

    Jewels.

    Author's Response:

Uh huh, you've told me so several times.  Should I mind?

So was I and I was writing it. See, i can scare myself too.  And these next chapters really terrify me.

Ah Phil and Albus what a good scene that will be.   But I don't know just when I should have him speak to the old coot, at the beginning of the tournament or after the first task? Ah well, I'll figure it out.

    Thanks as always.

you are more eviler than mouldywarts with your cliffhangers.

hedwigs story was a brave one, she is a most couragouus owl, the curses harry has learned will help him with death eaters and the like but they don't seem to be helping with the inferi, good luck to sev and harrykins

    Author's Response:

ooh, that's cruel! Now I have to leave you with another one!

She is and she'll be helping harry and Severus more as they go on.

Yes and they can help with the inferi if he casts them properly, as you'll see when you read the next part.

tom tom tom was really evil back then, i always knew he wasn't nice but not evil evil, it was abit eerie but learning about toms past will help them in the long run.

trelawney freaks me out with her predictions

i hope harry has nice dreams and is well rested for his lessons in the morning

    Author's Response:

Yes, for then they will know his weaknesses and how to destroy him  once and for all.

LOL1 She should, that's what a seer does.

You'll see what happens next and it's going to be a bumpy ride.
