    Very nicely done. I didn't find the chapter slow at all. It was a necessary bit of character development. I especially liked the reference to the last time that Severus had to use his "soothing voice". Little bits of information like that tell your readers important things about his character. Harry wasn't odd, or rather no odder than any almost 8 year old whose been locked in a cupboard , starved and abused for 7 years. It would be odder if he were normal.

    Please keep working on this story and know that I, at least, will be looking forward to your next post.

    HARRY NEEDS TO SEE A SPEECH THERAPIST AND HAVE SOME SUPPLEMENTS. I can't stand Dumbledore so I'd have him try to return Harry and Severus fight him thank you for your story

    I think perhaps Harry spoke up about the way his relatives treated him to quickly. I'm not an expert on abuse but most abused or neglected children go out of there way to hide the abuse, or are conditioned by their abusers not to say anything to anyone about it. I can't imagine that the dursley's would be any different. Other then that Good job.

    Interesting start. I don't think I read a story where an adult had accidental magic. Anyways, keep up the good work!
