Hmmm...very interesting. Of course, Harry is OOC, what with his rethinking a foolish, impulsive course of action without Hermione's prompting (JK, LOL) but I am intrigued. How will this change things? Of course Snape knows what curse hit Harry...will he tell Dumbledore? If he does, what will Dumbledore do? Will Dumbledore have a choice, with the use of an Unforgivable? Are there mandatory reporting requirements, as there are in muggle schools where teachers are legally required to report suspected or confirmed abuse? Please write more very soon.
Author's Response: It's funny that you mention the OOCness of Harry. When I was writing this, I had about half a page discussing how odd it was for Harry to be thinking through a decision for a change, but I decided it was a little much and cut it out. I'm sad, though, that I didn't leave a single line of it. Oh well, perhaps it's material for a later chapter, yes? Anyway, thanks for the great review; there's lots of good stuff in here to consider.

Oh my goodness! What a great start! I really hope you continue; this is awesome for a first fic! My hat goes off to you! I can't wait to find out what else was wrong with Harry--what did Draco change when he cast the Cruciatus Curse? I love how you described Harry going out of consciousness at the end; wonderful job!

I never did like that Harry had cast the Cruciatus on Draco, one of the things I just couldn't like about that book. So I'm rather glad that you've fixed that problem, though now you've provided with another dilemma - why is Harry having trouble breathing? Presumably everything in the past has been canon and this is a turning point. I just hope this harry discovers what that Sectumsempra curse does before he tries on a living thing. Room of Requirement might be a good idea...

Author's Response: Thanks, although the idea was actually Bratling's. Harry casting sectumsempra on Malfoy always made me cringe, too, so the challenge seemed like a lot of fun to me.
