I like how you used old English in this fic, and correctly too!
I really enjoyed your story. I've read other Slytherin Harry stories before but the traditions and the Head of House as Basilisk were different concepts. I also liked all the snake familiars. You mentioned doing a sequel and I wondered if you did?
Author's Response: Thank you for all of your reviews. Yes, there is a mini-sequel- just click on "Morgana" and you'll be taken to my author's page- all the stories are listed at the bottom of the page.
The death of Hermione's father was an unexpected twist. Her mother was lucky to escape. Thanks for telling who Owen Lawgoch was. I wasn't familiar with the reference.
I was glad we had a description of all the owlets. Giving Ron one was a good plan. Since he just lost his and Harry was giving away his owls, it was the perfect time. Hopefully, that will smooth things over with Ron and he will see the Slytherins in a new light.
This has to be a difficult discussion for Snape. No wonder he couldn't sleep. I'm glad he hasn't goner out of his way to badmouth James. He may have been a jerk but he was still Harry's father.
I hadn't thought about Harry losing the ability to speak to snakes after the horcrux was destroyed. That will be hard for him since he was so used to having the ability. Will Hissy be able to return the ability to speak parseltongue to him? Looking forward to finding out.
Hmm. I wonder if the horcrux in Harry just bit the dust?
Severus has reason to be concerned about Black. He will probably want to see Harry as soon as possible. Though if Black was just released from Azkaban, I wonder what the strange black dog was?
I'm glad the snakes were praised for protecting their owners. I've become fond of them myself.
