Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really hope you enjoy the story.
My only question is that in the times that Severus felt the presence of Lily, was she there, trying to protect her son? Looking forward to more and to HP and the OotPegaus Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm really glad you've enjoyed this story and my pro-snake perspective; despite a few, notable exceptions, snakes are generally very sweet, loving and intelligent pets. (This makes them a good metaphor for Slytherin; the House attributes are very valuable, useful and not, in themselves, dark at all, however almost everyone, on encountering a Slytherin, thinks (or is told to think) 'dark wizard, must stay away', which can become a self-fulfilling prophesy. In my universe, the 'veil' is particularly thin; the beloved dead can make their presence felt and subconciously influence people. Therefore, Tobias, Lily, James and, now, William may pop up now and again. Thanks for all your reviews ^^
Author's Response: Thank you. I thought that Severus really would strangle Dumbledore if he made it 50 points and, because Harry, Ron and Hermione hadn't lost all those points for being out after curfew/ irritating Severus, the differential between Gryffindor and Slytherin was narrow enough to allow it.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm really glad you enjoyed it ^^
I'm glad that Harry finally bolstered his courage enough to go down and see Hissy. I know that the events of that night scared him, but she was only trying to save him and didn't deserve his avoidance. I hope that he has lost that fear now that he has once again visited her. The story she gave about the weapons was fascinating and brought a definite human element to the incredible legends surrounding Slytherin and Gryffindor, which I feel is a good thing. And now the first school year is over and what a ride it was! I hope that their summer will be full of good times and no danger. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes, Dumbledore is incorrigible (and rather crafty- he is raising Harry to be the savour of the Wizarding World) but the children were overjoyed by their points and, besides, I couldn't have Dumbledore abstaining- it just wouldn't be in character lol! I'm glad you enjoyed Harry's meeting with Hissy and the story of the blades; I've always wondered why Slytherin's locket was gold and Gryffindor's sword was silver when, in fact, they were each other's colours and my two theories were 1. the sword/locket were gifts to each other or, 2. they swapped metals for their Hogwarts crests. I can imagine tanned, muscular Gryffindor feeling a bit of a twit with his shiny, white-gold jewellery and slender, pale Slytherin cringing at the 'bling' factor of yellow gold: they'd both suit each other's metals so much better lol! |
