Ron is funny - i like him this bad, angry, braty. M
I'm not sure that it would be a good thing if Ron got the owlet personally. It might be better if the owlet went to the family as a whole, instead. Though, admittedly, it's doubtful that Molly would allow Ron to do anything to hurt the innocent little thing. Harry was really sweet to make this offer and even if he learned that it is Ron who's 'pet' is gone, it wouldn't matter to him. Maybe someday, Ron will learn that a being in a House doesn't mean anything about who you are in the long run (one can only hope, right?).

Author's Response: Thanks ^^; I think that Fred and George are going to be keeping an eye on Ron but, I hope, my Ron isn't very different to the canon Ron, we're just seeing his worst side: I don't think he'd hurt the little owl, especially with his/her mother, father and siblings around! If being attacked by songbirds hurt, being attacked by a family of owls would be somewhat more painful.
Rod does not deserve one of the owlets. He is such a git. Great chapter
Author's Response: Thanks for the review; I know Ron is a git but, in the canon, he was often a git and Harry forgave him. Whether Ron will forgive Harry for being a Slytherin is another thing entirely.

I love Harry:) He is just so nice, to everyone in this fic, and it was the way I always thought he should be, non judgemental that is. Maybe giving Ron his owlet will start a better relationship between the two? Maybe not, but I still really enjoyed this update!
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I've always seen Harry as a very open-hearted character, for example, he doesn't dislike his relatives in the canon, despite their foul behavour. I cannot tell you whether the owlet will be the means of Harry and Ron burying the hatchet- you'll have to guess lol ;)

I've loved these past couple chapters again! Especially the image of Isis riding the wave of water as she comes to defend Harry.
Very interesting that you have brought Pettigrew, and presumably Sirius soon, into the story. I can't wait to read more and see what happens!

Excellent. You captured the feeling of everyone talking at once in the panic just after the attack very well. I just love Reggie, especially when he sssings.
Author's Response: Thank you: that was probably the most difficult part of the chapter so I'm glad it worked out ^^. Reggie's singing is based on the sort of songs children make up whilst they're playing :)
