Reviews For When the Boat Comes In
I love this story in general, but these last two chapters...your Salazar is my absolute favorite! I almost cried when he comforted Harry, it was so sweet! Thanks for the excellent story, I can't wait to read more!!! thriceredeemed Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm glad you're enjoying it and I'm really pleased you like my portrayal of Salazar
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes, Slytherin sees Hissy like Hagrid sees fluffy; they remember the creature when it was small and sweet and can't understand why people run away in terror lol!
I hope that Severus will let go of his fear and give Harry what they both need, a family. I feel that Harry would be frightened by a someone who was too affectionate, and thus, someone like Severus, who is more reserved, is a perfect fit. Besides, Harry adores Severus just the way he is and wants him as a father and isn't that what is most important? Hopefully, Severus will think carefully upon what Salazar spoke to him about and will make the right decision. I know that Harry will love having Salazar to talk to whenever he needs to and will be thrilled with his new pet. I wonder what Harry would choose to call it? As to suggestions, I'm not sure, though I will comment that Harry is an eleven year old boy and will probably be fairly literal in his naming of a pet. Great chapter! Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I think Severus will, eventually, make the right decision and I agree, Harry, as an eleven year old, will probably be quite literal in naming his snake :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review: I'm really glad that you're enjoying the story. Isis is a beautiful and very apt name
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm glad you're enjoying the story :)
I don't have any experience with pythons, but i think that the most beautiful snake that I have ever seen is the Puget Sound Garter Snake. It is a black snake with a blue stripe down each side and a blue belly. While this blue is very pale in juveniles, it can be quite intense in adult snakes. Author's Response: Thanks ^^ It's really great to know that this story is being enjoyed by so many people. The Puget Sound Garter snake is very beautiful and, although Harry needs a rodent eating snake, I can think of another character who would love one of those.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like my portrayal of Slytherin and thanks for the advice ^^
I think a ball python would make an excellent familiar for Harry. They are one of my favourite snakes; they are friendly and their markings are so pretty. Also they don't get too large for a python. If the snake is a male i think a good name would be Reggie and if a female, Regina (as plays on the Latin name of the species). Go Slytherin! Keep on making petunia's life miserable! Excellent job and just the kind of thing I needed to read this evening (it's raining and my attempt at making donuts did not turn out well. I think i need a house-elf to give me cooking lessons). Thank you for sharing this tale. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. It's lovely when someone takes the time to write a review and long, detailed ones are very appreciated. Yes, the dagger does reappear in the story but I can say no more than that (for now). I'm glad you approve of my choice of familiar; ball pythons are very sweet.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^
