*sigh* This seems to be the day for cliffhangers on my favorite fics. And it's raining too. Great chappie!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Aw, sorry to hear that but, hey, at least I updated and there'll be more soon; you're finally going to find out what set the ball rolling between Albus and Tom ;)

Awesome chapter. I'm more and more intrigued by what is going on and what will happen next. Sounds like a few bombs are going to be dropped in Harry's lap soon. But that's just my opinion. Can't wait to see what happens next, Morgana. Hope you can update soon :D

Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Well, I'm afraid that in a good!Tom story, Harry will always be in for a number of surprises, both good and bad, and next chapter is going to be rather emotional.

A lovely chapter, with a small cliffie at the end! I assume the canine is Sirius? I wonder what he would think of all the goings on at the Wren's Nest?

Author's Response: Thanks: The canine could be Sirius or Remus (Remus' movements on that Halloween night aren't accounted for, after all ;) Suffice to say, practically all of Harry's circle would be very suprised to realise just who Harry's been staying with during his summer hols!

VEry Good I loved the way that you intraduces harrys mistreatment and how the adults reatcted himmm I can't wait for that discussion..."now harry they did what?..."

Author's Response: Thanks :) That conversation developed very naturally (it practically wrote itself). I think the Dursleys are in for trouble; Tom still hasn't grown out of his 'reparation' mentality...

awesome chap. can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thank you ^^ I was worried that it was a bit too short; as I said, I had to split the chapter because it was ballooning (if you excuse the pun) and I was worried that it wasn't enough after the hiatus. I'm glad you enjoyed it nevertheless

Very nice chapter. I like how Harry and Severus are slowing warming to each other. I'd forgotten how much I like this story. I take it that eventually, Harry will have to face Dumbledore, whose agenda doesn't really make sense. Is he, instead of Tom, angling for world domination? Ir dies he truly believe that Tom is evil?

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. From a logical perspective, Dumbledore's agenda does not make sence. However, people who are mentally disturbed are not logical and the events of Dumbledore's early life (i.e. leaving Ariana playing alone, killing the boys, Ariana's mental illness, his innocent father being sent to Azkaban, his mother being killed, putting his sister and little brother in danger by his association with Grindelwald and aiding Grindelwald) has given Albus a large dosage of self-hatred and paranoia. Thus, when Tom arrives at Hogwarts, as beautiful, talented, charming and clever as Gellert, Albus immediately suspects him and, after the incident with the Chamber, that suspicion hardens into the belief that Tom is a dark lord in the making. So, Albus feels that he must protect the wizarding world at all costs, meaning nipping the problem in the bud by means of scaremongering, agent provocateurs, etc. It's the sort of mentality at the root of American McCarthyism and the 'Reign of Terror' in France. I can't say any more, because there's still a lot of explanations to come (in RL, people seldom divulge everything at once, thus I'm allowing Tom's story to come out in dribs and drabs).

I remember reading your story a while back and then lost track of it. I enjoyed the second read this evening. I hope it isn't abandoned......

Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it and sorry for the delay; the problem with this story is it's too damn complicated and I tied myself in knots for a while in working out the program for Harry's holiday (the middle and end are easy- it's just the beginning that's terrifying lol!) However, I'm still working on it; I've got the final chapter written up already and I'm going to keep slogging through till I get there!

Good, I'm glad to hear there's more on the way soon. I'd wondered if you were planning on continuing this story. The whole idea is odd, but I do think it's plausible that Dumbledore would skew facts to his favor. Write more soon.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review ^^. The premise is, indeed, original; I did this as an excercise in Good!Tom and, as more of the facts come to light, the plot will make more sense. The next chapter is half-written and, hopefully, will be out this week
