Reviews For Harry Potter and the Order of the Pegasus
Great chapter! Author's Response: Thanks: Severus and Harry have a long road ahead of them but, thankfully, they have the support of two other family members, who will nudge things in the right direction
It's good that Harry seems to be settling in well with most of his family. It will take time for him and Severus to get past their past dealings, but I believe that they will...eventually. At least now, Severus knows that Harry was anything but a pampered prince at the Dursley's. That mistaken belief was one of the reasons he was so nasty to Harry. Great chapter!
Robert Heinlein, the great father of science fiction, once wrote "the geneation who forgets history has no past - and very little future." Author's Response: Thanks: I really wanted to highlight the contrast between a real fascist danger and the situation in the wizarding world. I like the quote; it's very true.
Interesting history. I am guessing that the child in the drawing was Lucius. Author's Response: Thanks: I'm glad Tom's a likable character- I didn't want him to be too perfect but, in the canon, the young Tom is described as charming, handsome and exceptionally intelligent so it's a challenge to write a flawed 'light' Tom Riddle lol! The little boy in the drawing is Lucius; I've always thought the Malfoys had something of the youkai about them, with their pale skin and hair.
And I was all for Sesshy being Abraxus Malfoy! And wasn't the Sengoku Jedai period 500 years ago, not 1000? Because I've written my share of InuYasha and Harry Potter fics, and Sesshomaru was definitly in the 1500s because Kagome, in the first graphic novel, thought that she was 500 years in the past. Which would make sense. When Kagome mentioned Oda Nobunaga, the knew who she was talking about. Before that, anyone would have thought her insane. Okay... Rant finished. Zabby Author's Response: Well, that would be telling ;) I was half tempted to mention this in the last chapter: I'm aware that there is a discrepancy in the timeline of about 500 years but I really, really needed a reason for the Hogwarts founders to be fleeing to England. There's something very significant later in the plot that relies on this and, although it does cause a regretable kink- which I've tried very hard to avoid with the rest of the timelines. (I've just explained it in my own head as Inuyasha being around 300 years older than he actually is, which would have the events in Kikyo/Kaede's village still happening about 500 years in the past) I hope that, once you've read the whole thing, you'll think it's worth me using a little artistic licence and that, discrepancies aside, I hope you're enjoying this fic. p.s. Abraxus is quite definately dead in this fic- he died at Godric's Hollow. However, the tall Asian man and his teenage brother outside the Hog's Head might be more than they seem.
Author's Response: Thanks I'm glad you're enjoying it and I hope the plot continues to spin the perspective :)
It's good to learn such wonderful background information. It makes the story even more interesting! Great chapter!
Does Severus know??? Looking forward to more. Author's Response: Yes lol! I think his dad and Lily might have given Severus the hint ;)
Great chapter! Author's Response: Thanks; I know the backstory is rather tragic but it needs to be for the plot. I want to create the sense of the magical world being like a police state, where history is rewritten and shadowy individuals can, literally, cause people to forget events. |
