Oh gosh if my parents gave me that punishment, I'd go simply nuts and throw many many tantrums and fits and scream and who knows what else. I was a very dramatic child. This was a good addition to the series. :)

I am glad that Harry did learn his lesson, but I feel that the punishment's length was a bit too harsh. I am very uncomfortable with how humiliating it was. It is rarely a good thing to humiliate a teenager in front of his friends and schoolmates. It could have caused a great deal of resentment, because of the taunts that Harry was left vulnerable to by his father's very public punishment of him.
Great chapter. I loved the "king of insane punishments" line. Too funny.
Sounds like a particularly awful, but appropriate punishment. Poor Harry....it's going to be a long week.
