I love when Snape has Harry held firmly between his knees, with Harry looking down at him and thus unable to effectively mask his feelings. It’s brilliant. The tree imagery was so striking that it will always stay with me!

I love Harry’s keen observation of dried cockroaches that causes us to reflect on how far he and Snape have come since that incident. Very nicely done chapter.

Thanks for another wonderful chapter! There were some really fun moments in this chapter (Luna’s hat, Snape rooting for the bludgers, the books on shelf in Snape’s quarters). It’s these details that create such a rich story. Thank you!

This is a brilliant start to the sequel! You write the best Snape lines - case in point, his gruff words that belie his true feelings when he hugs Harry. I love how Snape keeps Harry on his toes with his humor, sarcasm, and wit.
