I have to admit, I had read one of your fics that I was not too fond of and hesitated on reading this but I found myself liking this one. I think your humor goes better when it has a purpose: in this care Harry explaining why he doesn't have his homework. I think your humor would prove to be good in all your stories if you remember to follow the general outline of a story: plot, conflict, resolution.
