Oh, my! What a fascinating parallel between Harry's riding thestrels and Snape's taking the Dark Mark! Some good mental digging took place in this chapter; it will be fun to see if any seeds take root, and how they'll grow.

I really like Harry's idea for his ward research project! I'll look forward to finding out what he discovers! Interesting how Harry is developing such a sense of patience, particularly with Snape.

Oooh I wonder what Harry will be if he does become and animagus, its interesting how him being an animal would not allow anyone to get in his head but he would need to be something big enough in case it happened mid battle maybe? or small enough I guess lol :)

I really liked the chapter, can't wait for the next one!
Good chapter. I've always loved professor McGonagall. She's stern, but loyal and protective and she's got a sense of humor. I like the concept of the animagus option replacing occlumency. As for his form, I might like to see him as some kind of dog. It's not all that common as a form for him and I'd like to see something a little different.
