Good chapter. The bonding with Draco was awesome and the ending was really cute.

I'm not sure I get whey Ron is so mad at Harry, or why Lucius is being nice given his historical dislike of Harry.
Maybe some background on Malfoy and his motives (good or bad) would clarify this? Alternate characterizations are enjoyable (I like Lucius as a secret good guy), but to pull them off effectively, it's helpful to give the reader a reason to move beyond the original characterizations as developed by JKR.
Hope that makes sense - and it's just con crit. Nothing bad. :)

Harry seems to be taking this well. I wonder where Dumbledore is in all of this. Is he not aware of the development, or is he just staying silent?
Whew. What a ride. I was on the verge of tears. Finally he came. Fantastic as ever. I'm in awe. You've outdone yourself.
My heart is aching along with Harry's. How do you do this?? I mean, make the reader hold their breath along with the character. Or maybe i'm just being too emotional? Severus has to care, doesn't he?
