Awww, yay! Great start! I loved Harry's reaction to everything. I wonder what his guardian's reaction is going to be. They probably will freak out when they see the transfigured bed. Thanks for starting this story!

This story is very well done. I love your style and can read the story quickly and easily, while still appreciating the literate architecture of it. I particularly like how, when scenes that are the same as the book - Harry on the floor waiting, you do not take from the story but rather reword it and add your own flavor to it.
One point. Snape seemed a tad nicer to Harry than I would have expected. Granted, this is only the beginning, and they haven't had a lot of interaction yet - but, for someone who "hates" him so furiously in the book he seemed to warm up just a hair too quickly. (Then again, he wasn't nice per-say, but I think you get my drift)
Overall, fantastic story! I hope to read more. Are you going to continue on into his Hogwarts career? If so, how far are you planning to go?

I always love these stories where a tiny initial difference leads to a big change. I do think that Snape and Harry got off to such a bad start, and I always wondered what would happen if they hadn't
i CAN TELL i'M GOING TO LOVE THIS STORY. I HOPE HARRY GETS SORTED INTO SLYTHERIN! cAN'T WAIT FOR MORE!
Oh my! I would definitely not want to take a chance of irritating a certain potions master.
Very well done.
I loved that--great chapter. I especially enjoyed him outwitting Petunia in all of five seconds LOL
