I really liked the differences between the canon scene and this one. Severus is actually understanding of Harry's reality once he realizes that Harry hasn't had any exposure to magic, and yet is still very much in character with the book Snape in HPPS.
Best of all, while the basic events of this scene are practically the same as the original source novel, it reads like a new story, and I'm very much looking forward to the changes that Severus collecting Harry will make as they move forward.
