Too bad this is only a short fic because I really liked it. I always thought JK's portrayal of Harry's reaction to killing Quirrell to be rather superficial even if Quirrell was posessed by Voldemort. I mean if I was an 11 year old Harry Potter and I killed someone, I would be very upset, disturbed and traumatised about it for a very long time. He kind of brushed it off and next school year (next book) forgot about it and never had any nightmares about the incident.
Your portrayal is more realistic. I also like how Snape was the only adult who realised what Harry is going through and tried to help him despite being enemies with James Potter.
I love the story. Why did this aspect of Quirell's death got overlooked in canon, I don't know.

You are so right that she just breezes over stuff that should traumatize people. Sev's quite in-character with how he handles this, and I think that is great. Excellent job, as always!!
