I was just casting about for interesting HP stories and this one popped up. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed it. I never liked Severus Snape's ultimate fate and this story gives him redemption and a good life. If I was giving it a score, it would be a 9, because I rarely admit perfection but this is really close.

Gotta say, I love this story so far! I can't wait to finish it! Severus the muggle and his daughter fill me up with warm fuzzies :)
Just a tiny nitpick. Barn owls don't actually hoot. They shriek, twitter whistle, rasp and scream instead.

Just wanted to say, since this is my fifth re-read and I've never reviewed before-that this is perhaps the most beautiful and moving Snape is Alive fic I've ever read, and remains one of my alltime favourite Severus stories.

Love the story. Very well written. I just wish Harry and Ginny had a "happily ever after" - if anyone ever deserved it, it's Harry.
I liked the happy Snape. It was so different and so nice. I wondered what made the elves worship Snape. At first I couldn't figure out why Ginny's accident was relevant. It seemed to serve no purpose. But then when Snape's Muggle specialty was the brain having him there to help in her recovery made sense and drew him into the family even more.
an excellent story, Very well done.
I have just read over this whole fic and it's more than I expected, in fact it's simply incredible and I really enjoyed reading it, even when things were emotional or tough for the characters. You wrote this story well and true, though a simple review doesn't seem to be enough of a "thanks" to sharing such a story.
I couldn't comment on a favourite part of such, as the entire story itself feels complete. The ending, though I would have liked Ginny to be more of her old self, was simply perfect. I loved the final lines.
So thanks again for sharing this story! :)
I enjoyed this story. Thank you. The only thing is ... what did Severus do that made the houseelves worship him? Did I miss a section of the story? I hope you know that Surrey is a COUNTY. It has plenty of towns and villages of its own. In ch 1 it looked as if you thought Surrey was a small village.
This is absolutely adorable! I have simply loved reading this each week as a new chapter is added and am just in love with all of the wonderful characters you have painted - I want more, but you've ended it so perfectly, I don't know how you could continue on from here xx

Great story, thank you. I've never read anything based on a remotely similar concept before.I enjoyed the truly happy Snape, and desperately wanted the same for Harry, although it was obviously never going to happen within the parameters set for the story.
Author's Response: I really wanted it to all tie up nearly for Harry too, but being the daughter of a mother with late-stage dementia, I knew that you sometimes just have to make the best of what you have. There are a lot of good and promising things in Harry's life too. They'll figure it all out! Thanks for reading... SS
