Harry was never going to be able to ignore that taunt, no matter who it came from, was he. Laura continues to be a very believable OC, interacting nicely with Severus.

Author's Response: Yeah, I quite agree with you on that, rosina. I'm glad you think Laura is believable. Making up new characters to integrate with the established ones can be a challenge, so it's always nice to get feedback on them!

I like fun stuff but I just want Severus to be okay.

Author's Response: Ah yes, who doesn't? Thanks for the review.

Poor Harry, yes! But I think his reaction shows that deep down, he still hasn't given up hope. I loved the line about not seeing the audience unless the shadow of the curtain is falling - very poetic!

As for Sev... I have a theory as to what might happen, and I *so* hope that I'm right! Your banner gave me the idea, actually, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Lovely chapter, and I'm looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Oh hooray; I'm glad someone liked the stage line, as I rather liked it myself. I must say, I wonder what your theory is! Thank you for reviewing.

Well, that had me looking for the tissues, although as Severus said it had to be done. It was hard to read - not for the writing, which was excellent - but simply because I've got so used to fanfiction Snape having all the answers which here he doesn't. Neither does there seem anyone else on the horizon to give him hope and you've made him such a nice character too!
Anyway, good work and I'll look forward to the fun bits coming up.

Author's Response: Thanks rosina for the feedback! I'm sorry it's so sad, but with this sort of story it has to be. But there will be a lot of fun stuff though, so keep looking ahead. Cheers!

No, you have to fix it. Fix it and make Severus well. He is young and those children need a father.

Author's Response: It is a ghastly predicament, isn't it?

That was so, so sad. I loved your characterizations in this, with Harry's eternal optimism holding out until the last possible moment. I also loved how you described Severus' thoughts and feelings, particularly the bit about normal things like the weather not changing when everything else has changed. That was very well done.
Bring on the fun bits, now :)! And bring on a cure - I'm like Harry, I guess, I won't give up hope.
    Great chapter!

Author's Response: Thank Sita! I'm glad you like Harry and Severus' reactions and such, as I've put a lot of thought into it all. I'm looking forward for the fun bits too, and they're coming down the pipe soon, so keep reading!

Oh, Draco. Well, I suppose if you're going to let people know they're getting to you, you might as well do it big time.

Author's Response: Ha ha, yeah, I guess, eh? Thanks for the comment!

I'm not sure that was wise, Draco... he's going to have to live with his House, after all. Still, I'm glad he's standing up to them.

My favorite bit in this chapter was your analysis of the Houses and their respective "revenge psychology" - I thought that was very spot-on, and of course very well written, too.

    Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: I quite agree. I'm super excited that you liked the revenge psychology, as I did spend a lot of time thinking that over! Thanks for the feedback!
