This was an incredibly poignant memoir of Snape’s childhood. Thanks so much for this.
I love the premise of this story. The way you’ve woven Snape in his memories with Harry in the present is downright brilliant.
Holy moly this story is freaking Brilliant and beautiful and amazing D: !!!

This story hooked me, drew me in, kept me reading, and made me sad and happy at the same time.
Well done.
This was absolutely amazing, thank you very very much!
This is a really original idea and I'm loving it!
Thank you for your realistic, honest story. Suspenseful and unexpected.
I loved the theme of Eileen insisting on leaving Tobias to follow through with his word, and how that gave an explanation for the broken handle we've always wondered about!
Liked how Tobias called Severus 'Rus!
Good ending. As bad as Tobias was physically, it was probably just a matter of time till he died on his own. I like the idea of Snape and Harry becoming friends.
Really good chapter. I like the way you alternate between Snape's memories and Harry's current life. Having Harry, Ron and Hermione at loose ends, leaves them to try to figure out the curse and how to break it and I am enjoying their discussions.
Brilliant. I couldn't stop half way to review the first chapter. Sad. Funny. Realistic. I always like how you write an adult Snape and Harry as overall fairly equal, and the authentic scene details you dropped in took me right back in time. I loved how you wrote Tobias as a real, if flawed, character not a caricature, while the gradual breakdown of his and Severus' relationship was well done. Add an original idea and it's a definite 10 rating.
