short chapter but good. I look forward to the next one
Author's Response: I'm afraid my writing style lends itself to shorter chapters, but I hope the quality makes up for the lack of quantity.
There is no way Harry is going to Poppy. Severus just needs to take Harry to the Hospital Wing himself
Author's Response: Remember, at this point Harry isn't suspicious of Snape's motives. He thinks that everyone can see his bruises and just doesn't say/do anything, and he himself doesn't bring it up. He is quite happy to go to the hospital wing to get his potion burn seen to.
Please continue. I wish the chapters were longer.
Author's Response: I already have most of the next chapter written, but I'm not sure how long it will take me to finish it. I would like to be able to write longer chapters, but unfortunately my brain only seems to be able to cope with one scene/idea at a time. The next ones are a bit longer as things start coming to a head.
Great start! Painful to read though how Snape and other adults have such an ingrained picture of what the BWL should be that they utterly fail in their duties. Though I love Snape, I sincerely hope he feels deep shame at his actions, along with guilt and remorse. I also hope Harry doesn't let him off the hook too quickly. Make him earn Harry's trust after 4 years of abusing him.
Author's Response: Hi teriwright, I'm glad you've enjoyed the story so far. Don't worry, it happens slowly, but from now on Snape starts getting better. I've just put up the next chapter, give it a try.
