This is so terribly sad and almost unbearably frustrating. As I read, my chest constricts and I feel like wailing, like Lily, out of angst. Because there is no understanding, no evolution in Snape and no soothing, no release for the frustration.
It’s such a brilliant idea to have Lily as a weeping ghost around S. You can picture it very clearly and I truly believe that this version is very close to canon S, who, I’m afraid, was probably emotionally handicapped and a very frustrated man.
The only draw-back is that you need to be closely up-to-date with the plot in PS to be able to follow the various developments in the text.
The atmosphere in the story is almost unbearable… But I enjoy it all the same :-)

Well my heart just shattered into a thousand pieces. Well done! Very canon, Severus never learning even though all the signs are pointing to his actions. Great job!
