Love this fic! Harry is so resourceful at finding his way to London and Snape is super well-written. I love that he bought Hedwig for Harry and that you leave off with Snape deciding to take a bigger role in Harry's life.

Oh, that clear look of Snape's at Harry, and those ruined shoes - and I adore that you didn't fall for the all -too-common 'blood and gore Durleys'; it is not believable, and their coldheartedness and fear of their own nephew is hard enough; to be ostracized is a terrible fate for any child or adult.
More of Snape, the quite reluctant provider. What will win him over? Not only the eyes, ...
