What a heartbreaking realization for Severus. And interesting blood ritual. I wonder if Voldemort has bugged the potioneer’s quarters, as I didn’t see Severus throwing up a privacy ward when they discussed plans. I hope they proceed with caution!
Oh my goodness, this is so good! Where do I even start. Draco’s unintended revelation to Voldemort and Voldemort’s 180 degree shift in his intentions for Harry was epic. I didn’t see that coming! And the chapter end was devastating. How totally tragic. Your story is excellent and riveting. Thanks so much, and happy 200th review!!

I devoured this chapter voraciously! Oh Harry. His anger, although understandable, never leads to anything good. I’m so nervous I can barely stand it!!
It’s a lie that felt honorable, though I hope that Severus can deliver on it! I love the plan for Draco and am anxious to see how it plays out. The ending segment was terrific.

I’m so relieved that this chapter title wasn’t about something else - whew! I love your point about how sorting into Houses based on strengths simply reinforces those strengths and doesn’t help bolster weaknesses. I’m glad that Severus now knows that Harry is aware of the Horcrux.

Transfiguration roulette is a brilliant game! That was a hilarious scene, and a definite favorite moment. The AU look-back was really touching.

I love how all of these relationship dynamics are developing, though I don’t envy Severus the headache he must have from it all!
I hope that Narcissa isn’t planning to double cross Draco and Severus. I’m glad they all appear safe at the moment though.
What a tragedy, with an interesting parallel to the unnecessary death of Cedric in cannon. I hope the next two weeks fly by for Harry.
