Great story, thank you. The fear and cold were palpable, and Snape’s response was both spot on and in character.
Excellent strategy to leave so much to our own imaginations... I kept dreading what Harry had seen, but you kept the focus on their immediate situation, cold, the need to keep warm, the need to divert Harry's attention from tragedy to the mundane to help him survive with his sanity intact. Very well done!
Author's Response: Yesss, Snape had the right idea. He knew Harry would spiral the moment he let his thoughts and the images get the better of him, and the cold WAS in fact posing more danger than Voldemort.
