Reviews For Resonance
Thank you an interesting chapter
Thank you again for posting my favorite fic here. Author's Response: Thanks! Have a great vacation!
"I speak Portuguese" bwaaa The bit with Madam Bones was nice. Author's Response: Thanks! That line from the testingwitch really made an otherwise mundane Department of Motor Vehciles a la wizardom scene worth it.
Author's Response: You make a super good point here. My thinking here (which likely isn't explicit in the story) is that Harry knows he needs to hide the info about Candide so he's careful plus it's not so emotionally charged (some, but not at a core level), but Tonks is such a fraught distraction, Harry forgets and worse yet, leaves himself open.
Author's Response: Snape's been cheating. Harry thinking on Tonks is not Harry Occluding his thoughts very well.
"Old times, Her Dental work" too funny, another favorite quote Author's Response: Harry needs to throw all the parties. He has such great friends.
Thank you a very intense chapter. Severus is being very subtle in his dealings with Harry. He is letting him make his own descions but is there for him when he needs help, which being Harry, he does a lot. Author's Response: Snape is definitely not going to put himself out to offer dating advice either... :-D
"Harry kept looking at his parent" was this changed from "guardian". I don't see your Harry mentally referring to Snape as his parent. Severus, Dad or even father but parent is used a lot. Was it to make a changed feeling in the relationship? It never reads " Severus looked at his son or child" I was just curious as it feels different from previous times reading this. Author's Response: I started shifting Harry's perception to try it on for size, since in the previous version, like you are remembering, it was just guardian all the way down. I was thinking there'd be an evolution and then a switch to "parent" but on a re-read I'm not sure now. You'd think it wouldn't be so hard to pick a lane on this, but there are moments, like the one you mention of higher emotion, where I left a few of them in when I was re-re-editing.
Author's Response: That was my Joycean section. It's actually all one scene. LOL. I was trying to convey that exhausting continuous movement of travel that even sitting down at a cafe or even sleeping doesn't really stall.
I like how this chapter illustrates how Snape is willing to do almost anything to help Harry, and how Harry knows that someone will always be behind him. Author's Response: Thanks. This was a good scene to show that. Snape is an absolutist about his duties. |
